Fall Registration
Winter and Spring Quarter Registrations can be completed during the last two weeks of the previous quarter.
New violin students can only register during Fall Quarter.
Registration for new students can be completed for the Fall Quarter on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Lake Avenue Church campus.
Please come to the Conservatory office to begin the registration process at 9:30 a.m. on September 20 for returning students, and at 11 a.m. for new students. In order to register, new students will need to be present with their instrument. Please bring some music the student can play to demonstrate their current skill level, so that we may place them in an appropriate level class. Current students may pre-register during the last three Saturdays of the current quarter.
Please bring $10 in cash per student for a registration card. Once the registration card has been completed, with instrument class, orchestra (if applicable), and theory class, it must be returned to the registration office, and fees paid for the quarter. The $10 registration fee is not included in the tuition.
Tuition
Tuition for each ten-week quarter is $100. This includes a small group lesson, participation in one of the four orchestras, and a theory class. If more than one child in a family is enrolled in the full program, the fee is reduced to $95 per student.
Students who take private lessons outside Conservatory who only wish to play in one of our four orchestras, pay $40 tuition per quarter.
Theory Class only is $40 per quarter.
A fee of $25 is assessed for any check returned by the bank for any reason. Saturday Conservatory does not accept credit cards.
Auditions
Saturday Conservatory hears placement auditions for all students in order that we may place them in the classes, and ensembles, that best suit their needs and skill level. Students may progress into more advanced level instruction through the audition process.
Eligibility
Students who are in the fourth through the twelfth grades may attend this exciting program. Younger students with appropriate background and skill may attend prior to fourth grade. The Conservatory strongly supports school music and Conservatory students are required to participate in their respective school music programs.
